I thought I had a hard time with my first - turned out the kid just had a "healthy" appetite - the doc said I was overfeeding him at his two-month appt! Anyway, I found that methi (in all forms) does increase milk production - I had methi rotis, methid powder with buttermilk etc. Also, garlic in milk, saffron in milk etc. (I HATE milk as a drink, so this was very painful for me). I know it sounds old-fashioned, but I really needed the " Pathiya" food. With my first I b/f sitting up, even at night, with the second, I let her nurse lying down, and oh, it was so much better - after a couple of months, I barely woke up when she started rooting around :-)

Good luck again!

M

Re: Breastfeeding 101

Oohh how many times have I had wanted to kick my dh when my breasts were aching..countless.
Very good advise, especially about drinking enough water..

Re: Breastfeeding 101

That's really informative. :) Will refer here whenever I need the information.
