Oh DG, that's absolutely heartbreaking. Big hug, sweetie. Stay strong.

I think it is lovely that your family donated her eyes...

Thank you, Ro. My aunt instantly agreed to donating her child's eyes, though she was told just a few scant minutes before that her daughter was no more. I am still gob smacked at that.

I don't comment often though you are on my feeds, but I do have tears in my eyes now. Sometimes younger souls are not remembered in later years, but from what i read, she touched your lives in a magnitude far greater than normal for her age. So keep her in your mind, always!

While this is one of the saddest posts I've ever read, I was also touched by the courage and compassion shown by your aunt in donating the child's eyes.

Really brave of your Aunt to donate Shraddha's eyes...
I guess all we elders need to learn from kids like Shraddha. They live life to the fullest always mesmerized by the brighter side and we have forgotten to do that.

What an absolutely delightful child. I'm so sorry for your loss. Truly a noble gesture on the part of your aunt, amidst the grief. Shraddha had so much to live for. Be proud that she lived her life with such joy and brought so much enjoyment to all who knew her.

Its so sad Deej.I cannot imagine a life, after the life of a child ends. What a fate is this! All my prayers to Shraddha's beautiful mother....something, anything to dull her pain. God bless you all.

Thanks for your lovely words, people. Your support here and elsewhere means a lot.
Am still struggling to come to terms with this. I cannot even fathom my uncle and aunt's state of mind.
What cruel fate puts my cousin - Shraddha's older brother who turns 5 end of this month - into grief counselling, I wonder.

Heart-breaking. Look at the pics, it is not the age to die. I can imagine how bad it must be for you all. I can't get over it myself. But really large-hearted parents they are!

This is just so sad DG. Every parent's worst nightmare. It's amazing they found the strength to donate the baby's eyes. Such grace and generosity in the face of tragedy. Love and hugs to you all.

Little Shraddha has been in my thoughts from the time I read about her untimely death.
It's so very unfair. I cannot even begin to imagine what her parents must be going through.
Great gesture on the part of her parents.

Tears welled up in my eyes as I read this post, especially the last few lines, when your aunt/uncle decided to donate their child's eyes. Very courageous act. May the Lord give your family enough strength to withstand this difficult times in your lives.
